Available during 1999, Pierrot was the first piece of the “Masquerade” trilogy. Pierrot was the first of the annual editions to use coloured crystal (other than for eyes). The piece is made from clear, frosted and colour crystal. To accompany this piece, Swarovski produced an optional stand and plaque. The optional plaque is for “Pierrot” and does not mention the “Masquerade” series. A separate stage display trilogy was also available on which all 3 of the trilogy could be displayed together.

Available during 2001, Harlequin was the final piece of the “Masquerade” trilogy. He is made from clear, frosted and black crystal, and holds a red crystal rose which has metal stem and leaves. This is the first time metal was used on an annual edition. An optional stand and plaque were also available. The optional plaque is for “Harlequin” and does not mention the “Masquerade” series. A separate stage display trilogy was also available on which all 3 of the trilogy could be displayed together.
